Four offices have already been struck off the list of ministerial patronage—the Mastership of the Mint, the Lieutenant-Generalship of the Ordnance, the Vice-Treasurership of Ireland, and the Postmaster-Generalship of Ireland; these making a saving of about 9,0001. a-year. The heads of the Cabinet, it is stated, have also agreed to give up 33 per cent of their salaries ; which will make about 10,0001. more.
