(No.1828, Sunday, April 10, 1831)
This venerable edifice, the repairs of which cost the parish, from time to time, such immense sums, and occasioned so much discord among the parishioners, has been shut up within this week, by order of the wardens, until further notice, in consequence of the discovery that the ceiling and roof of the nave (the only part which has not undergone repair), are in so dangerous and alarming a state as to render the measure necessary.
