English Opera, Adelphi, Mr. Arnold

Mr. Arnold, it is said, has been induced to alter his intentions respecting the English Opera. He has entered into engagements with many of the minor performers, which he was bound under any circumstances to fulfil, and he has therefore preferred agreeing to the demands of the principle performers, rather than be under the necessity of paying the minors without receiving from them any service in return. He has engaged a very efficient company, and they will commence their performances at the Adelphi at the earliest opportunity.
