The public's old and esteemed friend, Mr Mathews, by a mere accident, escaped being involved in the wreck of the Rothsay Castle steamer. He had finished his engagement at Liverpool, and was going to visit his particular friend, Owen Williams, Esq. at his house in Anglesey, had taken his passage on board of the Rothsay Castle, but arrived at the dock a few minutes after the vessel had sailed.
