(No.1781, Sunday, May 16, 1830.)

About half-past three o'clock on Wednesday morning a fire broke out in the house of a chemist and druggist, opposite the Duke of York public-house in the Borough-road, which in a short time completely destroyed the interior, and the whole of the furniture. The flames were prevented from extending to the adjoining houses by the prompt arrival of the engines, and the praiseworthy exertions of the firemen, who were ably assisted by the police.
