West Central Home, for Milliners, Dressmakers, Ladies' Maids, etc., 44, Great Ormond Street, established in 1855 by the Countess de Grey and Ripon and Lady Hobart, for the benefit of young persons employed by the day in milliners and dressmakers' establishments, shops, etc., and especially for those whose friends reside in the country, to give them a more comfortable home at from 2s. 2d. to 2s. 8d. per week. The inmates of the Home have the advantages of cheerful society, as well as assistance in obtaining work.
