Wills and Bequests

The will (dated Aug. 9, 1879), with a codicil (dated July 15, 1881), of the Rev. Charles Blackden, late of Wilton-crescent, Knightsbridge, who died on July 2 last, was proved on the 2nd ult. by Frederick Chalfont Blackden, Marcus Seton Blackden, and Walter Henry Blackden, the nephews, the executors, the value of the personal estate exceeding £66,000. The testator leaves annuities to nieces, charged on his share of the Blackden family estate in Fore-street, held under re­newable leases from the Corporation of the City of London; and there are a few legacies. The residue of his property he gives to his said three nephews.
