The Archbishop of Canterbury presided, in the library of Lambeth Palace, at the annual meeting of the Young Men's Friendly Society. The Bishop of Truro moved a resolution to the effect that a special effort was needed to provide, spiritual and temporal help for young men and lads of the working classes. The Archbishop stated that the society now was widely extended, and that there were 7200 members. The business of the meeting was gone through, and Lord Brabazon invited the members to a fete to be held in Petersham Park.
