United Law Clerks Society

United Law Clerks Society, 119, Chancery Lane, established 1832, as a member's benefit fund. During the past year 37 sick members received a sum of £1 :1s. a week, as long as needed. There are at present 9 members on the superannuation fund; two receiving annually £31 : 4s., and the other seven, £36 : 8s. On the death of a member, his family receives £50.

The income during the year amounted to £2,903. The permanent fund has amounted to £24,735. Occasional assistance is rendered to distressed non-members, their widows, and families, from a casual fund.
