Master Mariners' Benevolent Society

Master Mariners' Benevolent Society, 4, Wellington Chambers, London Bridge, Southwark, established 1835, for relieving master mariners who are members, and their families, in cases of shipwreck or death. The assistance granted is £20 in cases of shipwreck, £30 of death, and annuities of £10 to members above the age of 60. During the past year, £960 was distributed to 56 cases.

The income amounted to £313 : 16. Amount invested above £5,000.
