Temporary Residence for Governesses

Temporary Residence for Governesses, 3 Devonshire Terrace, Regent's Park, established 1842, for affording, by the payment of a moderate weekly sum, a home for governesses while seeking engagements. By means of a legacy, the committee have been enabled to leave the former home in Osnaburgh Street, and to take the present residence, which is larger and more commodious. Since the last report, published in 1857, 569, governesses have been admitted; and during the past year 192.

The income for the past year amounted to £635.
