Royal Literary Fund

Royal Literary Fund, 4, Adelphi Terrace, W. C., instituted 1790; incorporated 1818. Administers assistance to authors who may be reduced to distress by unavoidable calamities, or deprived of the power of literary exertion. 2,860 grants have been bestowed, amounting to a sum of 54,305—this includes the amount distributed during the year 1860 of 1,320.

The income during the year was 2,061 : 19 : 9, including balance brought forward of 76.
