Royal General Theatrical Fund

Royal General Theatrical Fund, English Opera House, established 1839, incorporated 1853, grants relief in annuities to actors, actresses, singers, pantomimists, and dancers, to the widows and orphans of members, and funeral expenses of the same. The entire amount of receipts has been nearly £15,000. £3,785 has been paid in annuities, £184 for funeral expenses, and £105 to widows and children. 12 annuities are receiving from £30 to £90 per annum.

The average income is about £1,200, dependent for about one-fourth on voluntary contributions. Income from all sources, during the year, amounted to £1,321 : 2: 5. Funded capital, nearly £11,000.
