Obituary of Eminent Persons

The death of this gentleman occurred on the 1st inst., in the 61st year of his age. Mr. Evans was the representative of the Morgans and Lloyds of Henblas, and derived descent in the female line from Robert Morgan, D.D., Bishop of Bangor, whose wife, Anne Lloyd, was daughter and heiress of the Rev. Wm. Lloyd, of Henblas. Mr. Evans was son and heir of the late Hugh Evans, Esq., of Trefeiler and Henblas, High Sheriff of Anglesea in 1811, and grand­son of Charles Evans, of Trefeiler, High Sheriff in 1752, the son and heir of William Evans, Esq., of Trefeiler, by Margaret, his wife, sister and heir of Henry Morgan, Esq., of Henblas. By Henrietta, his wife, daughter of the Very Rev. John Warburton, Dean of Bangor, Mr. Evans leaves issue two sons and one daughter.
