Cavendish Square

1819

Contains some very noble mansions. It was planned in 1715, as were some regular streets lending thence to Tyburn or Edgeware Road. In the centre of the square, there is a gilt equestrian statue of William Duke of Cumberland, the general so celebrated by his successes in Scotland.
