St.Benedict, vulgarly St. Bennet Gracechurch, near the Monument. It was formerly called St. Bennet in Grass Church Street, because of a Grass or herb Market kept there; and then it might be, as has been reported, that there was only one Tavern, one Inn, one Coffeehouse, and one Alehouse it it. This Parish contains about 110 Houses. Morning Pr. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and all Holy Days, at 11; a Donation S. Nov. 5. at 10, and Christmas Day at 2.
