St. Mary Abchurch

S. Sermon; and Lect. Lecturer.

St. Mary Abchurch, in Abchurch Lane, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and called Abchurch, or Upchurch, because it stands upon rising Ground, or else had its Denomination from A,B,C, which the Romans scatter'd in the four Corners of the Church at the Consecration of it. This Parish contains about 200 Dwelling Houses. Morning Pr. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and all Holy days, at 11; and Saturday Evening only at 4.
